RPOF Women’s Leadership Council Statement on Obama Women’s Rally

TallahasseeRepublican Party of Florida Women’s Leadership Council Co-Chairman Linda Ivell and Anne Voss released the following statement today regarding Senator Barack Obama’s “Women’s Rally for Change” in Miami today and Obama’s refusal to take a stand on the most important challenges facing our nation:
“Today’s women are mothers, professionals, small business owners, community activists, but Senator Barack Obama promises not a diverse plan for a diverse community, but one rhetorical catch-all: ‘Change.’
“Women in Florida and across our nation want a real leader who will work for stronger, healthier families, invest in our children’s future from the very beginning, and get our economy back on track so that we can create and keep high-wage, high-value jobs and buy affordable gas and groceries. We don’t want empty promises and we don’t want ‘change’ for change’s sake. We need our leaders to be mavericks who aren’t afraid to bring real change and reform the way business is done Washington, D.C.—and women know that the only two people who can do that are John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin.”
